REGISTRATION

Admitted participants will be contacted by email (address provided in their application) in early February 2022.

We cordially invite all admitted participants to complete the School enrollment Part 2 by the end of February 2022 at the latest.

Please find below the steps to follow in order to confirm your registration:

(closed) Step 1: Submit your application

deadline: December 19, 2021

1. Click here and fill in your Personal Information to create an account on the IES Cargese’s website.

2. Log in and click here to continue to the school enrollment, part 1.

2. Select from the dropdown list your Scientific Information and upload your abstract. Please describe your research interest and your motivation to participate to this school.

3. Click on SAVE DEFINITIVELY to submit your application.

NO PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THIS STAGE.

For the students experiencing genuine financial difficulties, you will need to submit your application and contact us via the dedicated email address cargese2022 univ-grenoble-alpes.fr, demonstrating why you require financial support to participate in this school.

(completed) Step 2: School enrollment

Deadline: Friday February 25th
Log on to your account at the IESC’s website and provide the information regarding your travel, accommodation preferences and dietary restrictions.

Guidelines for completing this step:

TRAVEL

We strongly advise booking tickets that can be exchanged or refunded after reservation. For your travel dates, please note that the registration fee covers the accommodation at the institute or the village, from 17-23 April.

TRANSFER TO CARGESE

The shuttles to reach the institute from the Ajaccio Airport will be organised according to the arrival time of the participants on Sunday 17.
The departure from the institute to the Ajaccio Airport will be scheduled for the morning on Saturday 23.
We are not able to provide free transportation from/to the airport on different dates.

ACCOMMODATION

Please choose from the dropdown list to indicate your preference between:
  Room in a shared flat in Cargese.
  Room at the Institute (shared or single)
The room distribution is made according to various criteria but we will try our best to match your preference.

DIET

Please indicate if you have any special dietary restrictions or allergies.

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS

The attendees are not authorized to register any accompanying persons.
Should you come with family members, the arrangements for their accommodation and meals should be made from your side.

INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

If you need an official document such as an invitation/acceptance letter to support your application for a visa to come to France to participate in this event, please contact us as soon as possible so we can prepare the required document for you.

POSTER SESSIONS

You are encouraged to prepare a poster to present your research at this school.
The scientific programme of the school will include oral presentations by the invited speakers and poster sessions scheduled after the last talk of each day.

The posters sessions will take place in the patio near the amphitheater, IESC has at your disposal the material to display your poster (135 cm x 90 cm).
Please note that we are not able to print your posters at the Institute.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

All attendees are expected to be fully vaccinated (with one of the vaccines recognized by the European Medicines Agency or one of the equivalents) and will be required to present a COVID certificate to access the IES Cargese.

(completed) Step 3: Payment of the registration fee

Deadline: April 7

Please proceed to the payment of the registration fee (link sent via email).

The registration fee prices are as follows:
PhD students: 400 EUR
Post-doc, researcher, other : 600 EUR

POSTERS

Poster boards:
Posters in the format A0-portrait are recommended.
The format of poster boards available at the institute of Cargese will be portrait, 135 cm height x 90 cm width.

Please note that you must print your poster in advance, we are not able to print posters at the Institute.

Session I - Monday April 18
Session II - Wednesday April 20
Location: conference room

Poster presentations:
Session I: Monday/Tuesday
Session II: Wednesday/Thursday
Location: in the patio near the conference room

COVID Informations

Updates

As of Monday, March 14, the health and vaccination passes have been suspended, which means the vaccination certificate is no longer obligatory to access the IESC. However, masks are still required in airport, transport stations and on public transport in France. If you’re traveling from another country, please verify the entry and exit requirements that apply for your destination.

Despite the rule changes, it is strongly recommended to respect the preventive measures such as the use of masks and social distancing rules, particularly, in the conference room.
